The EloTri 620
This is a electric powered trimaran hull styled on the classic lines of a Dutch
'Back Decker'.
With a long flush foredeck, and dropping sheer line, the boat will look even more classic when the teak like decks and portholes are added. Also to come is a bimini top, with the optional wind generator on top of that. The windscreen folds down to go under bridges, and to seal the cabin.
Below is a double berth, and private head area with vanity sink.
The cockpit has seating for up to five people, with swivelling seats forward.
Powering is by an aquapella system. http://www.bellmann.nl/drivesystems/english/ This is connected to up to eight deep cycle batteries. Cruising speed is 8 km/hr.
The boat is designed for the canals and water ways of Europe, where no emissions, no noise and low wake are appreciated.
It is being built by Mono & Multihull Boat Builders in Drachten, Netherlands www.mmboat.nl or see www.elotri.com It will be in full production shortly, with larger models of 8 and 11m planned.
